To be paid on NJC Grade C/D Pay Scale – dependent on experience

 

Ilsington C of E Primary School, part of the Link Multi Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint an experienced full time Administrator to join our strong admin team and commence September 2021.

You will need to be a committed, hardworking and enthusiastic individual to be able to provide receptionist duties and administrative support at our school. You will be the first person that visitors meet when they enter the school and therefore this is an important role. Loyalty and professionalism are key to working as part of a successful and growing team improving the life chances of our pupils and make every child feel ‘special’. Ilsington is a small rural school nestling in the Devon countryside on the edge of Dartmoor with an integrated pre-school working alongside our primary classes and ensuring the highest standard of transition as our children reach primary age. Previous experience of working in a school administration role is preferable.

Clerk to the Local Board – Link Academy Trust

240hrs per annum (approx. 6hrs per week), 40 wks per year.

 NJC Grade D, £10.41ph

To start as soon as possible

The Link Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a highly organised individual with a professional manner and effective communication skills to provide clerking support to its Local Board for the Moorland Hub, comprising of academies, Bearnes, Hennock, Ilsington, Moretonhampstead and Widecombe-in-the-Moor.

 

Within this clerking position, you will cover one joint Local Board for 5 academies and also have time for annual training and clerks' briefings. This is a part-time role, amounting to approx 6hrs per week, term-time, but candidates need to be available flexibly for a small number of additional days as required to cover clerking panels for exclusions, disciplinaries etc.

The role will mainly be home-based working and at the moment during Covid, meetings have taken place virtually via Microsoft Teams. When allowed, meetings will again take place at our academies, so the role will then include travelling for that purpose to minute meetings.

Discretion and flexibility, plus excellent organisation and computer skills are essential in this role, as well as an interest in education and be able to deal with matters confidentially. A good level of education together with proven experience of organising meetings, writing agendas, producing accurate and concise minutes and providing advice to a governing body is desirable. 

Experience in a previous clerking role is preferred. An encrypted laptop will be provided for this role.
