Our Designated Safeguarding Leads

At Ilsington CE Primary School our designated safeguarding lead is Mrs Samantha McCarthy-Patmore who is a Level Three trained safeguarding lead. She is supported by Mrs Laura Billington our Deputy Safeguarding Lead and Christine Cacchione who runs Woodhouse Preschool, both of which are Level Three trained.

All of our staff, our local board members and our regular school volunteers are DBS checked and undertake Level Two safeguarding training on an annual basis.

We also provide monthly safeguarding training and updates to ensure that all those safeguarding children at our school have up to date, relevant and comprehensive understanding of safeguarding.

Our staff all undertake Prevent training annually too.

At Ilsington CE Primary School we believe that safeguarding is the responsibility of everybody and we understand the importance of being vigilant in our safeguarding of our children.

We encourage our children to feel confident in their ability to speak up and speak out, enabling them to be safe, strong and free.
